A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a full-time general dentist or prosthodontist with extensive experience in restorative CAD/CAM dentistry to join the predoctoral clinical faculty at the academic rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The position is available immediately. ASDOH is dedicated to educating caring, technically adept dentists who become community and education leaders serving those in need.

This clinical faculty position has responsibilities in teaching, research and service, with a focus on predoctoral clinical dental education. This faculty member will provide didactic and clinical instruction, as well as the provision of direct patient care in all areas of general dentistry with a focus on restorative CAD/CAM dentistry. This position works closely with the clinical Directors of ASDOH’s Comprehensive Care Units (CCUs) and the Director of Prosthodontics to provide dental students clinical restorative experiences utilizing CAD/CAM dentistry. In this role the successful candidate will provide curricular oversight of CAD/CAM dentistry in the Predoctoral Dental program including: implementation of an integrated curriculum of didactic, pre-clinical and clinical experiences in CAD/CAM; planning and implementing the rapid adoption and proliferation of CAD/CAM techniques in ASDOH clinics; and providing faculty development in CAD/CAM techniques. Skills/ Requirements
  • Education : DMD or DDS degree from an institution accredited by American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and/or completion of an advanced education program from an institution accredited by the CODA.
  • Experience : Minimum of three years clinical experience in digital dentistry and CAD/CAM techniques (including image acquisition, design and milling) as a general dentist or prosthodontist; demonstrated proficiency in dental practice management utilizing computer-based practice analysis including revenue/cost assessment; demonstrated communication and writing skills.
  • Preferences : Eligibility for dental licensure in Arizona; use of multiple CAD/CAM systems including CEREC; experience in academics, clinical research and private practice desirable.
