1. Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems (MIS)

 

Job Description

  • Tenure track Assistant Professor of Management with a teaching emphasis in Management Information Systems.
  • The Department of Management and Marketing at the University of New Orleans announces an opening for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Management with a start date of Fall 2022. The ideal candidate will be able to teach both graduate and undergraduate sections of Management Information Systems (MIS) and related courses. Data analytics skills and the ability to teach other core management courses are desirable. They may include up to 2 of the following courses: applications software for business, decision tools for managers, quantitative analysis, and introduction to management. In addition, the person hired for the position will be required to perform research and service at a level commensurate with normal expectations of faculty at a research university.

 Job Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in Management or related area is required. ADBs who will complete their degree prior to the start date will be considered.
  • Industry experience in Management Information Systems or Cybersecurity is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of appointment and continue working legally for the term of employment.
  • Salary is AACSB Competitive.
