About the Opportunity:
The Database Manager will report to the Senior Director for Systems Integrations, Data & Technology, and will manage databases within Enrollment Management. The person will provide support for database tasks for all systems using Oracle, MS SQL Server, and other database technologies. The work will include performing database administration tasks, such as system upgrades, user account maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
The person will provide support for new system implementations, automation, system integrations, and scripting. This will involve working with university stakeholders, vendors, and consultants to ensure that the systems are available, working optimally, and data integrity is maintained. The person will work on quality assurance of systems, resolution of systems issues, ensure software is at the latest release and patch level and perform systems testing prior to production rollout. The person will create, deploy, and disseminate reports to support business operations. The person should be attentive to user feedback, and apply best practices and technologies to resolve and improve user productivity.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Five years of experience supporting database systems required. Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases preferred.

Prior experience in Higher Education providing technical support for an enrollment management area preferred.

Demonstrated skills in systems integrations, automation, technical support, systems operations and troubleshooting.

Experience with a reporting tool, such as Tableau preferred.

Experience with Ellucian Banner preferred.

Effective communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated organizational ability and ability to prioritize/manage several work requests concurrently.
