About the Opportunity:
The Bouve College of Health Sciences Office of Marketing and Communications (MarCom) is seeking a Copy Writer & Communications Associate!

Bouve College of Health Sciences is comprised of four preeminent schools of study encompassing approximately 1,000 faculty and staff, 5,000 students, and 40,000 alumni.

Please note: The primary work location for this position is the Boston MA Northeastern University Campus Location. Until our full return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process will be conducted remotely- including virtual interviews, remote onboarding and remote work. The remote nature of this position is subject to change in the future and is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required once the College and this role return to an operational status that supports it.

Responsibilities:
The Bouve College of Health Sciences Office of Marketing and Communications (MarCom) is seeking a Copy Writer & Communications Associate capable of assisting MarCom with conceptualizing, writing, and coordinating creative marketing and content opportunities. This person will also assist in development of other College-related materials as well as some research-based reports. The candidate must be highly organized and deadline-driven with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities. The writer will be responsible for style, format, and consistency across all projects; communication with MarCom team members and internal clients to create the best content possible.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is required with a preference for a major in Communications, Marketing, or Business with 1-3 years' experience in copy writing for web, news, or another media outlet.
  • Some knowledge of higher education, academic landscape and/or healthcare preferred but not necessary.
  • The Copy Writer & Communication Associate will need to effectively communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral form about multiple ongoing projects.
  • Understanding of Search Engine Optimization best practices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of Robohead Project Management platform or relatable platform preferred but not required.
