- Lead development of research, strategy, and programs. Works directly with faculty and staff on research initiatives and research proposals. Develop multi-year growth plans.
- Managing federal language inclusions for funding. Advise and train research faculty on navigating the procurement of defense research funding.
- Leverage UofM research and resources from Centers, Institutes, academic departments; develop and promote defense oriented research culture at UofM.
- Engage and build coalitions with defense research stakeholders and partners in government, academe and industry.
- Spear head advisory boards, serve as liaison to the defense research community.
- Promote defense related STEM activities at UofM. Build relationships to advance the University as a Defense research hub.
- Conducting research in area of expertise.
- Other duties as assigned.
