The School of Business at the University of Indianapolis is currently experiencing growth in both its undergraduate and graduate business programs. The ACBSP-accredited School of Business has a collegial faculty and is home to 500 undergraduates in 8 majors as well as 200 plus students in MBA, Master of Science in Management, and Master of Professional Studies graduate programs as well as adult learning undergraduate and graduate programs. Personal attention, small interactive classes, and flexible programming are the rule rather than the exception. The School of Business curriculum is built around an experiential focus and student engagement and involves a significant number of Applied Business Projects every semester. These are class projects that partner with local businesses to provide an applied experience for our students and problem solving for the businesses. The School also has a joint degree program with Ningbo Tech University in Ningbo, China.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The School seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Marketing with a desired start date of January 2022. The Assistant/Associate Professor position is a full-time, nine month contract faculty position. The ideal candidate would have PhD in Marketing or a closely related field. Qualified candidates with Master’s degrees will be considered, provided they have significant professional experience. Prior experience in applied consulting or work experience in the field is desirable; prior quality teaching is essential. The ideal candidate should be able to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Successful candidates should have demonstrated abilities toward scholarly activity in their fields at the Assistant level or Associate level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach 24 semester hours per academic year in courses in areas such as consumer behavior, marketing research, international marketing, sales or digital marketing
  • Provide service to the School, University and community
  • Business outreach efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD in Marketing or Master's degree with significant professional experience required
  • Prior quality teaching experience is essential
  • Prior experience in applied consulting or work experience in the field is desirable
