Reporting to the assistant dean for advancement, the associate director of alumni giving and engagement conducts a variety of essential functions for the College of Arts and Sciences advancement efforts. The associate director of alumni giving and engagement is tasked with implementing the College’s annual giving, alumni engagement, and donor relations strategies. Individually and through partnerships with colleagues in the College as well as the division of Advancement and External Affairs, the associate director of development plans and executes annual fund solicitations and strategies; plans and executes alumni engagement activities for principal- and major-gift level alumni as well as the alumni body at large; and works with the Office of Donor Relations to steward major and principal level gifts as well as endowed gifts. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required and minimum five years of demonstrated success in a comparable position, preferably in development. Must be able to manage multiple priority projects at once with ease and efficiency. Job Specific Qualifications

—Highly collaborative in approach
—Ability to exercise good judgement when dealing with confidential and sensitive material.
—Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel. Knowledge of Blackbaud CRM . Responsibilities
Designs and implements an innovative and creative alumni engagement program with a particular emphasis on Arts and Sciences branded events and programs, both in person and remote, that engage alumni with the life of the college and encourage them to give back.
Works closely with department chairs and faculty to design and implement events that showcase the teaching and research being done by faculty and students.
Works closely with the Office of Alumni Engagement on collaborative events and programs.
Works closely with the College of Arts and Sciences Career Advising office to design and implement events and programs that connect alumni and students.

Designs and implements the College’s annual giving program with a particular emphasis on increasing donor participation and dollars given to the College of Arts and Sciences through a data driven approach that uses mail, email, text, and various other channels to capture the attention of prospective donors
Works closely with the Office of Philanthropic Engagement on collaborative appeals and university events such as Boost the `Cuse and Make Your Mark.

Designs and implements the College’s donor relations program with a particular emphasis on creating a consistent and tailored approach to acknowledging and stewarding key donors to the college.
Works closely working with colleagues in donor relations and communications.
Works with the department chairs and managers to ensure proper stewardship of department level funds.
Manages a portfolio of Arts and Sciences lifetime stewardship prospects
