Department of Mathematics and Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a number of adjunct faculty positions for Academic Year 2020-2021. Rank will depend on terminal degree. The search will continue until December 10^th, 2020. The applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Applicants should hold a Masters (initial rank: Adjunct Instructor) or a PhD (initial rank: Adjunct Professorial Lecturer). Some teaching experience in service level statistics courses is preferred. The successful applicant will be appointed to teach a maximum of 2 courses during Spring 2021. Assignments in subsequent academic years are possible.

Salary is competitive, and is determined by the number of courses to which the successful applicant is assigned.
