The Department of Literature in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for part-time WRT100 – College Writing in the Spring 2023 semester.

Completion of WRT-100 College Writing and WRT-101 College Writing Seminar fulfills the AU Core Written Communication and Information Literacy requirement. The class will have up to 19 students enrolled. Sping semester sections will meet face-to-face for 75 minutes on Tuesdays and Fridays or Mondays and Thursdays. Classes begin January 17th and end May 1st, 2023, with a final-exam period to follow.

Applicants should hold an MA or PhD in English or Rhetoric and Composition, an MFA in Creative Writing, or a master’s degree or PhD in a related field, and a demonstrated capacity for teaching. Applicants must meet requirements to receive and maintain an adjunct teaching appointment at American University.
