Job Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Online Education team. This is an experienced administrative support position for the Dean of Online Learning. The Department of Online Education is responsible for instructional design and development, academic technology, faculty quality management, and the overall strategy for online education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The Administrative Assistant supports the Dean of Online Learning with budget and administrative duties. This individual assists with interactions between the Dean of Online Learning and the Chancellor, the Worldwide Vice Chancellors, ERAU-W students, faculty and staff. Additionally, this position will support 5 leadership positions who work directly for the Dean of Online Learning. This ideal candidate is highly organized, has an outgoing personality and is able to multi-task. Excellent interpersonal and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to project and promote a positive image of the Online Education department, while supporting academic excellence in ERAU-W’s teaching and learning environment. The individual should be a team player with a strong commitment to service and at least 3-5 years’ experience providing executive level support, preferably in an academic setting. This position will support a department of 65 plus individuals where strong organizational skills will be critical.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • (3-5) years work related experience with budget processes and administrative duties.


Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications
  • Excellent customer service and organization skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ​Ability to prioritize and multi-task
