Position Summary:

This position reports directly to the Assistant Director for Research and provides pre-award research support to faculty and staff of the Department of Medicine, as well as administrative support to the Assistant Director for Research. This position will function as a member of the Office of Research Services in the Department of Medicine and work directly with principal investigator and/or research staff to identify funding opportunities and prepare and route proposals for submission to sponsor.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, bioscience, or related field required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Experience in grant administration, accounting or biomedical research required.

At least two years of experience in research and grant activities, and familiarity with granting organizational policies and procedures, especially NIH, is preferred.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for an appointment at the senior level.
