The Economics Program of Bard College invites applications for a full-time one-year renewable visiting position specializing in Financial Economics. Candidates should hold a PhD in Finance or a related field.
The Visiting Professor will teach core and elective courses in the Program in Economics and Finance, a five-year B.S./B.A. dual-degree program. Core courses, which are open also to Economics majors and others, include Accounting, Foundations of Finance and Investments, Principles of Economics, Corporate Finance, and Behavioral Finance.
The campus is the home of the Jerome Levy Economics Institute, which offers Bard undergraduates a five year path to an MS or MA degree in Economic Theory and Policy. The Levy Institute publishes research on economic policy and hosts conferences and seminars, offering a range of opportunities for Bard faculty and students.
Qualifications
Excellence in undergraduate teaching is of primary importance. A highly selective liberal arts college, Bard is committed to innovative teaching and interdisciplinary curricular programs. We seek broadly trained candidates whose work complements the program’s existing pluralistic orientation.
