The Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh seeks a Lecturer beginning September 1, 2022. The teaching assignment will be focused on the Fox Cities campus, but some of the teaching responsibilities may take place at the Oshkosh campus as well. A successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in economics, primarily in the areas of principles and introductory statistics.

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate courses in economics and statistics.

Advise and mentor undergraduate students.

Qualifications Required:

1. Master's in Economics
2. Evidence of ability (or potential) to teach effectively at the college level. This can be documented with actual teaching experience (e.g. being a teaching assistant, teaching a college level course, statements from references, etc.), and/or a demonstrated understanding of the process in your teaching philosophy statement.
3. A commitment to diversity, equity, & inclusion

Preferred:

1. Ph.D. or ABD in Economics or related discipline.
2. Expertise in teaching economics at the undergraduate level.
3. Experience providing academic advising to undergraduates.
4. Experience mentoring undergraduate students.
