Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Centre for Advancement of Chinese Language Education & Research (CACLER) within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 507870), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess (i) a Ph.D. degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science or a relevant field; (ii) solid statistical and computing skills; (iii) relevant scholarly publications; and (iv) the ability to communicate effectively in writing and in oral presentations in both Chinese and English.
The appointee will work closely with the Principal Investigator to conduct research under her supervision in a predominantly independent manner, and pursue investigations on the teaching and learning of Chinese language, and other related research studies. He/She will be responsible for experimental design development; overseeing the timeline of project research outcomes; developing case studies; development and validation of behavioral, psychosocial, and cognitive assessment; training of research assistants; data collection, management, analysis and interpretation; and preparation for publications in peer-reviewed journals. Relevant work experience in managing projects in educational or clinical settings will be an advantage.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
