Position Summary:
The Senior Admissions Counselor for Diversity is responsible for identifying and recruiting diverse students that are eligible to enroll at the university. The incumbent conducts outreach, advises students and families, and facilitates referrals to ensure the academic success of the target population. The incumbent also develops and hosts academic, community, and related events, and conducts both group and individual sessions with prospective and existing students.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, counseling, higher education, Hispanic/Latino Studies, or related field is required.

Master’s degree is preferred.

Minimum Experience:
Three years of related work experience is required, including experience working with minority populations, specifically Hispanic/Latino.

Job Functions:
Identify and recruit undergraduate students to the University.
Counsel prospective students, families and others regarding admission and enrollment processes.
Use data and technology to support recruitment strategies.
Collaborate within and outside the University to develop and execute strategies to increase diverse student access and enrollment.
Work in cooperation and collaboration with other university departments and complete all other duties as assigned.
