Monday-Friday 11:30 am -8:00 pm

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Night Maintenance, maintain, repair, and implement preventative maintenance for the Night Maintenance Shop of Crafts and Trades. Complete routine and emergency work orders. Performs preventive maintenance, as assigned.

Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Formal training (specify), Education/Experience substitution (specify) Other Education & Formal Training

Plumbing related trade school completion preferred. This requirement may substitute for the 6 months experience that is required.

Computer Skills Experience

-Six (6) months experience in the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems required.
-Additional experience and skills in the maintenance of various trades; HVAC, carpentry or electrical preferred.

Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements

-North American Technician Excellence – Ready to Work Certificate required.

Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

-General mechanical and electrical ability.
-General knowledge of systems operations, steam, A/C, plumbing, and refrigeration.
-Ability to read and understand simple blueprints, diagrams, sketches, schematics, and drawings.

-Maturity of judgement and behavior.
-Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
-Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
-Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.

-Work in cramped and hot spaces.
-Work from ladders, scaffolds, lifts and bucket truck.
