The University of Florida, Warrington College of Business is seeking to fill an open Clinical Professor of Marketing faculty position with a start date of Fall 2022. This new position is part of an expansion of the College of Business’ focus on applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Analytics degree programs and concentrations. The position is open at multiple levels including Full Professor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor. The level will be based on experience, demonstrated teaching ability, and contributions to the field of Marketing.

A clinical faculty member spends a greater proportion of time on teaching and service, but still has a responsibility to perform research. Many clinical faculty members publish in practitioner journals with a focus on applications of their business domain expertise. As such, practical commercial experience in Marketing is desired for the position. A key requirement of this position is that the applicant possess a terminal degree (PhD or Doctor of Business Administration) or be expected to complete their terminal degree prior to Fall 2022 in order to be considered for this position.

Applicants for this position will be asked to teach courses at the graduate, undergraduate, and Continuing Education levels. Typical courses include: Marketing Analytics, Machine Learning applications in Marketing, Artificial Intelligence Methods, Marketing Experiments, Customer Relationship Management, Principles of Marketing, and New Product Development.

In order to teach the AI/ML and Business Analytics courses, applicants should be able to program and teach courses utilizing either Python or R. While experience with other analytics programs is helpful, the Warrington College of Business Marketing Department’s focus on applied AI for business is primarily based on these two analytics software tools.

Our department currently offers undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. programs in Marketing.
