Job Summary

This position will manage the daily operations of the Academic Excellence Program ( AEP ), direct the planning, designing, developing, execute, and manage strategies to recruit and retain AEP participants in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering and programs.

Essential Functions

Plans, designs, develops, executes, and/or manages strategies, activities and programs for Academic Excellence Program to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished. The goal of the program is to strengthen the recruitment and retention of underrepresented students in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.

Provides the essential day-to-day management to ensure that programmatic aspects critical to the success of the project are implemented.

Coordinates and collaborates with College of Engineering and other campus partners to support attainment of AEP program goals.

Assist in directing the academic and professional development workshops, collaborative study groups and one-on-one peer learning.

Consistently reviews and evaluates AEP program activities to provide feedback and recommendations to partners.

Oversees and monitors expenditures to ensure they are in line with budget projections and in compliance with both federal and Auburn University policies and procedures.

Manages and coordinates documentation of AEP program’s effectiveness and impact.

Determines public awareness/marketing needs and helps manage, coordinate, prepare, review, and edit an assortment of communications through various media outlets.
