The Application Programmer Analyst III designs, implements,
supports, maintains, and enhances applications. Consults with users
to define detailed requirements, analyze business needs, consider
current and future business implications, translate functional into
technical requirements, validate solutions, and drive business
process improvement efforts.

Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
- Leads the design, development, support, maintenance, and
enhancement of business application systems.
- Writes test scripts and performs detailed testing for complex
cases to ensure that the implemented software functions
- Evaluates software and enters complex software configurations
to meet user needs.
- Facilitates troubleshooting with technical, reporting, and
application resources to analyze and resolve production issues.
Provides input into possible solutions.
- Reviews and verifies that documentation of training materials,
process, procedure, and system application configurations are
- Develops new techniques and procedures to enhance university
business application systems.
- Reviews progress, evaluates results, recommends new processes,
and promotes best practices.
- Partner with business analysts and respective cross-functional
business groups to elicit functional and non-functional
- Collaborate with third-party vendors including software
providers, implementation partners, and consultants to achieve
