About the Opportunity:
Northeastern University is seeking an energetic, organized, and goal-oriented professional to join our Admission team. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admission, the Assistant Director will design and implement an effective recruitment strategy within a specified domestic travel territory, and will evaluate applicants for admission into the University. The Assistant Director's recruitment strategy will include travel in assigned territories designed to attract and subsequently enroll freshman and transfer students in line with university priorities.

Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director will read and evaluate admissions applications from assigned geographical regions. The role includes using the knowledge of and expertise with geographic region and secondary schools to evaluate applicants consistently. Further responsibilities include counseling and advising students and families regarding the admission process, conducting interviews and presentations, maintaining relationships with secondary school and transfer counselors, alumni admission volunteers, and managing their territory throughout the admission cycle. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for coordinating and managing specific constituent relationships or projects in addition to other duties as assigned. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, who actively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required with 2-4 years of relevant experience. Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of diverse constituents is desirable, along with strong organizational skills. Background in admissions, student services, student affairs, or counseling desired. A successful candidate will be a team player with a strong work ethic, who actively contributes to the office welfare in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record, and the ability to lift 30 pounds in order to move recruitment materials.
