    Department Summary
    A division of Student Services and Enrollment Management, the Office of the Registrar is responsible for academic and classroom scheduling, student registration, enrollment verification, grading and academic records maintenance, transfer credit articulation, degree audits, monitoring undergraduate general education requirements, degree awarding, course evaluations, student data/statistical analysis, veterans benefits, FERPA compliance, and transcript services. These responsibilities, assignments, and services are completed within institutional policies and standards as well as related state and federal laws and regulations.

    Position Summary
    The Catalog and Curriculum Manager (C&C Manager) reports to the Assistant Registrar for Operations: Classroom Scheduling and Curriculum. This position is responsible for overseeing the annual creation of the University of Oregon catalog using the curriculum management software, Courseleaf. This position supervises the workflow and timeline of the catalog including the communication of expectations, guidelines, and deadlines for page editors as well as assignment of user roles. The University of Oregon catalog is the primary public record for current degree requirements and course offerings for our faculty, students, and accrediting agencies. The C&C Manager serves as the main liaison with the Office of the Provost in all matters regarding the catalog and serves as the main reviewer and editor.

    The person in this position will also serve as the curriculum process expert for the campus. They will provide consultation and feedback to campus stakeholders on functional and technical aspects of curricular and program proposals including ensuring compliance with university guidelines, policies and standards. They will create, maintain, and monitor workflows within Courseleaf to ensure timely approvals and processing of proposals. This position is also responsible for accurate and timely coding of program and course information into the University's student information system (Banner).

    This position will regularly communicate with diverse constituents including faculty and staff in departments, schools, and colleges. This position requires a high-level of independence in navigating and reviewing institution and curriculum policy changes for consistency and accuracy. This position has the authority to act on the Assistant Registrar of Operation's behalf in establishing methods for implementing new policies and procedures with regards to catalog and curriculum.

    The C&C Manager is a vital part of the Academic Scheduling and Curriculum team and will help foster equity and inclusion by contributing to a welcoming, safe, and respectful work environment. In addition, this position also collaborates with other members of the Office of the Registrar and campus partners to support Scheduling and Curriculum activities as needed.

    Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Three years of experience in office administrative management, with at least two years of experience in a university setting
  • Experience with report preparation and presentation

  • Ability to work under pressure and with faculty, department administrators, and others in a professional manner
  • Ability to evaluate and explain complex academic rules and curriculum
  • Ability to lead trainings or workshops for diverse audiences

    Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Experience with curricular processes
  • Experience with CourseLeaf Course Information Management, Program Information Management, or other curriculum management software
  • Experience using Banner or other student information system
  • Experience building and running reports in Cognos
  • Experience acting autonomously, including being the primary contact for a project
