    Position Summary
    The Account Specialist is a customer support position responsible for assisting users in the use of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports) Applications. This position provides technical assistance to support participants on how to use the applications and how to interpret school data generated through the web applications.

    Typical work activities associated with this position include (but are not limited to):
  • Providing telephone and email support to assist users in using applications and their features.
  • Answering participants' questions related to PBISAPPS and UO policies. Reviewing and interpreting applicable law regarding privacy and confidentially (FERPA, HIPAA)
  • Updating participant information based on email/phone inquiries
  • Providing backup for depositing funds received for application licenses
  • Generating reports related to application/survey usage totals for weekly management meetings and bi-weekly coordination committee meetings
  • Writing answers to frequently-asked-questions for posting on the PBIS Apps website for users to access as resources when seeking support

    The Account Specialist is part of the Management and Customer Support Team and reports to the Management and Support Team Coordinator.

    Minimum Requirements
  • Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents;
  • An Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology;
  • Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience

    College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to establish effective relationships and interaction with key/important contacts
  • Strong administrative skills and proficiency with office computer applications and equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of customer service experience (in-person, phone and/or email)
