Position Summary:

Performs advanced accounting duties following generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. Prepares and reviews financial reports and assists with budgeting. Ensures the accurate recording and reporting of the business unit's financial transactions.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

-Associate degree - Preferred Minimum

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum of 3 years professional experience preferred. Experience in working with complex automated systems and processes.

Knowledge & Skills:
1.Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Demonstrated ability to apply GAAP standards in a business setting. Knowledge and application of cost accounting practices/principals.
2.Proficiency in Excel and ability to create complex spreadsheets and reports. Ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
3.Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication and working in a team environment.
4.Demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
5. Ability to work independently, prioritize work duties, demonstrate effective time management skills to meet UHS and university requirements and deadlines.
