Public Management, Tenure Track Faculty Position


The O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University-Bloomington, a world leader in public affairs education, invites applications from public management scholars for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor.  Priority will be given to applicants with expertise in behavioral public administration, equity and representation, organizational behavior, and/or public personnel management. We are particularly interested in candidates employing innovative research designs including but not limited to field experiments or psychometrics. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a record of successful teaching and mentoring of students from all backgrounds and a rigorous, nationally/internationally recognized program of high quality research, including external funding.  The O’Neill School houses bachelors, masters, and doctoral programs in public affairs, environmental science, and public and environmental policy, supported by excellent, collegial, and highly regarded faculty. The O'Neill School is committed to further enhancing research and curricular offerings that address diversity, equity, and inclusion; applicants are encouraged to address these topics in their applications. Minimum educational qualifications include a Ph.D. upon appointment in a related field (e.g., public administration, public affairs, political science, public policy, psychology, sociology, or business administration) by time of appointment and evidence of a developing research portfolio.
