Bookstore and Retail Operations is searching for a Manager to assist with maintaining a high level of customer service and engaging our students through exciting programming. A successful candidate will be energetic, organized, and reliable with a sense of urgency and professionalism.

Job Summary

  • Assist Bookstore Supervisor in developing and executing of Programming events for AUM Students throughout the school year
  • Responsible for opening and/or closing the Bookstore, Books and Beans, Concession Operations, and other future retail operations depending on schedule
  • Provide leadership for Student employment scheduling, hiring, onboarding, coaching, etc.
  • Assists in training the student employees on daily activities including customer service, retail floor restocking, properly food and drink handling, and coffee shop recipe preparations
  • Responsible for assisting customers with purchasing food and drinks, textbooks, school supplies, tech items and merchandise
  • Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
  • Responsible for processing customer transactions and maintaining a clean and tidy retail floor
  • Properly handle and maintain all coffee shop equipment
  • Assists in maintaining accurate inventory for all Bookstore & Retail Operations; ensures merchandise is fully stocked and properly displayed; assist in annual inventory counts
  • Receive invoices of merchandise, textbooks, convenience items and food service items into computer system
  • Assists Supervisor with buybacks, processing orders, and additional responsibilities
  • Assists with ordering and invoicing for the bookstore, Books and Beans, Concession Operations, and other future retail operations – including (but not limited to) resale items
  • May be expected to open/close satellite retail operations daily and on time. Secure store merchandise and restrict access to stockroom and basement
  • Assists in receiving and stocking of merchandise
  • Assists in the management of web order fulfillment
  • Responsible for processing aumbookstore.com website transactions for shipping and in-store pick up orders
  • Assists in operating the Bookstore shipping and receiving department
  • Compiles, sorts, & processes receiving and return documents to ensure accuracy
  • Receives and verifies inventory orders and labels inventory for stocking
  • Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner
  • Accurately handle Warhawk Card ID and credit card payments, following appropriate procedures
  • Serve customers accurately & efficiently
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings
  • Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Acquire and maintain ServSafe Certification.
  • Other duties as assigned




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of Textbook Retail POS & ICS Software. Knowledge of daily, customer facing, coffee shop operations. Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelors Degree
