This pool has been established to accept applications for openings for part-time instructors that may arise throughout the year. Teach core Education and Human Development and Family Science classes. Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Child Development, Human Development, or related field.

Demonstrated commitment to student-centered principles and an understanding of the community college mission.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, including faculty, staff, and students.

Demonstrate a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer recent college teaching experience, working knowledge of computer software and Learning Management Systems. Experience with different modalities of instruction, including synchronous and asynchronous online learning. Expertise or experience in teaching from a social justice perspective. Experience teaching in a K-12 environment. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a classroom setting with minimial exposure to safety hazards. Essential Duties:
Teach Education classes.

Assign and grade student work; report student attainment of course outcomes.

Keep abreast of development in subject area and educational technology, innovative teaching techniques, and continuously strive for professional improvement.

Establish and maintain opportunities for reasonable and consistent out-of-class contact with students.

Exemplify and promote work within the mission of LBCC .

Work effectively with students and staff of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages. Promote both a classroom environment and a curriculum of equity and inclusivity.

Interact with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of a team.

Successfully interact with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an education team.
