Statement of Job:

The University of Southern Maine seeks applicants for a full-time, soft money funded professional position involving statewide viral hepatitis program coordination and leadership skills. Responsibilities include maintaining technical expertise in the subject area, and coordinating, developing, implementing, and evaluating programmatic interventions. Strong written and oral communication skills along with grant and budget management experience are necessary. Experience managing grants, working with healthcare providers, and coordinating evidence-informed interventions are required. Basic knowledge of epidemiology, statistics, outbreak response, and data management are needed. Work is performed under administrative direction. This position is not restricted to COVID response. Work location will be Augusta, Maine at the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, with travel to remote work sites around the state.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health or related fields (biology, community health, etc.)
  • 1 year of grant management experience and
  • 2 years of relevant experience in public health.


Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Public Health or related field, with coursework in relevant fields listed prior.
  • Experience working with healthcare providers and coordinating interventions.
