Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 507856), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent. They should have relevant experience in neuroscience research, cell and molecular biology, histological techniques, confocal microscopy, and animal (mouse) experimentation; and good communication and presentation skills. They should also be self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and in a team. Prior experience in molecular cloning and protein purification is an advantage.

The appointee will join a friendly, dynamic and dedicated research team using state-of-the-art equipment with the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative and international environment. He/She will explore molecular mechanisms and novel therapeutic strategies of Parkinson's disease (PD). The project involves phenotypic and behavioral studies of mutant (LRRK2 knock-in) mouse model of PD, as well as establishing human PD patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for pathophysiological studies.
