Emporia State University is accepting resumes for our 2021-2022 production positions including sound design and costume design/coordination. Applicants must be available for scheduled fittings, meetings, other duties as required for the position, along with technical and dress rehearsals as well as performances (note: weekly production meetings can be via Zoom if needed). This posting includes multiple positions for the season; all jobs are on a per-show basis. Stipend ranges from $1,500-$3,000 depending on qualifications. The productions and corresponding positions are as follows:
Urinetown – Kotis & Hollman
Performances: October 21-24 2021
- Costume Designer
- Sound Designer
Good People – Lindsay-Abaire
Performances: March 3-6, 2022
- Costume Designer
The Constant Wife – Maugham
Performances: April 28-May 1, 2022
- Costume Designer
All design and technical theatre professionals at ESU should
possess:
- Degree in Theatre Design/Technology or relevant field OR compensatory work experience
- Experience in professional theatre or university level theatre
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Ability to work with a creative team and mentor student assistant designers
