About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Director is responsible for performing and overseeing administrative aspects of the Graduate School of Education's academic programs. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Assistant Director provides leadership for operational systems, academic policy, and event planning.

Managing academic program logistics such as course scheduling, registration, tracking, faculty support, and vendor relationships. The Assistant Director will work closely with multiple faculty directors and administrative staff. Requires travel and flexible hours for event management.

Bachelor's degree required with 4-6 years of operational/managerial experience, preferably in some aspect of higher education at the graduate level or in a high customer service environment. Master's degree preferred. Ability to meet timelines, deliverables and exercise independent judgment on programmatic and financial issues; must be able to work well with many constituencies: adult students, faculty from multiple disciplines, CPS internal support staff and outside vendors. Strong leadership and effective communication skills a must. Teamwork and strong organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; and ability to understand and execute operational processes are required. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) required. Required to work flexible hours and travel when needed.
