About the Opportunity:
The Academic Assistant plays an important role in the Disability Resource Center. The Assistant will be responsible for ensuring all student received their approved accommodation on each exam. This includes printing exams assigning space and setting up appropriate assistive technology for each exam.

They will also coordinate with instructors to ensure all exams and exam instructions are available for student in a timely fashion. Ensure exam are returned to instructors within 24 hours of completion. When necessary complete incident reports for academic integrity violations.
The Assistant will also hire and train a staff of 7-9 graduate and undergraduate students to assist in the exam proctoring process. This includes monitoring work study funds and managing weekly pay roll through student employment.

The Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the computers in the DRC are kept up to date with all assistive technology and regular maintenance. Additionally this position will be responsible for daily monitoring of the DRC email account, this includes responding to general inquires and making referrals when needed.

Bachelor's degree required
1-2 years working in office setting
Strong Customer Service skills and experience
Organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Managing multiple competing deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with assistive technology
Experience working with people with a range of disabilities
Cultural competency
