Regional Dean’s Office (Middletown): The Regional E-Campus Digital Content Specialist will collaborate with the E-Campus Leadership to advance the online student experience with the creation of compelling high-quality digital content; using data-driven best practices that advance recruitment, retention, and engagement of online students.

Duties include and are not limited to:

  • Lead project management of web and digital content/communication timelines and workflows using Miami brand identity and accessibility standards.
  • Lead the research and writing engaging digital content to market, recruit, engage, and retain target audiences.
  • Lead use of Google Analytics to drive web strategy, conduct user testing and/or analytical research to advance initiatives.
  • Develop and implement web strategy to design engaging and responsive landing pages targeted at various audiences within the Cascade CMS.
  • Deploy initiatives to increase traffic with E-Campus website and social media outlets utilizing SEO and Google analytics to assist in the cultivation of vibrant online communities.
  • Collaborate with team members to design effective creative content for web and digital marketing platforms, and to manage digital content calendars across various platforms in order to meet growth goals in terms of web analytics.
  • Produce excellent, high quality digital experiences and graphic assets that meet project goals and requirements.
  • Visually communicate the stories of online students, programs, and achievements through graphic/media promotion and recognition.
  • Report on effectiveness of media initiatives utilizing data and analytics.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, graphic design, web design, or closely related field; Two (2) or more years’ experience in creating custom high-quality informational and/or promotional digital media (web, graphics, content, animations, advertisements, newsletters, tutorials, videos,  etc.); Demonstrated success independently achieving goals from ideation to completion with measurable results; Demonstrated success in creating conceptual layouts in accordance with design principles (e.g., color, typography, image selection, visual communication etc.) for elements, and usability; Work independently with minimal supervision; Ability to take initiative to manage whole projects and prioritize work while advancing multiple projects simultaneously; Proficiency in content planning and writing (conduct research, style guides, content calendars, blog posts, short articles) to produce compelling content to attract current and potential online audiences; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Tools, Microsoft Suite, Web-Based Apps, Mobile Technologies, Google Analytics, SEO optimization; Ability and desire to learn new skills; adapt to new technology and; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including communicating technical information in terms understandable to the diverse audiences; Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

 

Consideration may be given to candidates with a Master’s Degree and one (1)  or more years’ experience in creating custom high-quality informational and/or promotional media (web, graphics, animations, etc.) within a higher education institution; Proficiency in specialized digital skills: Web development with HTML, CSS, Javascript according to Miami  identity standards, Content development with Section 508 and web accessibility compliance, Conducting user testing and/or analytical research, Understanding of UX/UI, Advanced use of Google Analytics, Experience using Content Management Systems; Utilization of project management software, such as Wrike or Basecamp, to manage multiple creative projects and meet deadlines; Advanced use of Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, Canvas, Camtasia software tools; Demonstrates and promotes advancement for diversity and inclusion, in particular service to historically underserved, underrepresented, minority, and non-traditional students.
