Position Summary:

This position works under the general supervision of the Director of Student Enterprise Applications (SEA) and is responsible for supporting the UW-Madison Division of Enrollment Management (DEM), which includes the offices of Admissions and Recruitment, Registrar and Office of Student Financial Aid, as well as the Bursar's office. This position will plan, coordinate, and help execute the development, testing, implementation, integration, and installation of Student Information System resources, upgrades, new functionality and security components in alignment with industry best practices. They will work closely with the area leads in the Office of Registrar to prototype and evaluate functional and technical enhancements the office can utilize in deploying Oracle Campus Solutions to support the teaching and learning mission of the University.

Additionally, this individual will serve as expert counsel for the Division of Continuing Studies (DCS) and the Division of Enrollment Management (DEM) in the development and support of Oracle Student Management Cloud.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-At least 7 years of demonstrated ability to provide enterprise application support and administration for higher education institutions.
-Knowledge of Oracle's Campus Solutions, or an ERP, or similar student information systems.
-Experience with the development and support of Oracle Student Management Cloud.
-Effective problem-solving skills. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; demonstrate ability to work well in groups to solve problems.
-Experience creating or modifying complex information systems including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary.
-Planning and organization skills to assist in coordination of many different project tasks (determine relative importance of tasks; prioritize and plan work activities; set appropriate deadlines for completion); Effectively manage time and resources; set realistic goals and objectives.
-Experience with data analysis, SQL and query tools.
-Understanding of data integration, relational databases, and systems.
-Ability to communicate technical concepts to a variety of proficiency levels.
-Effective customer service skills.

Preferred:
-Knowledge of University Registrar best practices as they relate to student records, student services, and registration business processes and systems.
-A thorough understanding of project management and portfolio analysis, especially Agile project management.
-Experience with Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) methodologies.
