Position Summary:
This position provides high-level administrative support, management, and leadership for the Center for Limnology at UW-Madison, including pre- and post-award grant and research administration. The Center for Limnology (CFL) is an internationally-recognized research center focused on aquatic ecosystems and resources. The CFL is looking for a dynamic team member capable of successfully participating in and leading complex and innovative initiatives that support the CFL's mission. This is a daytime, mostly on-site position based in Madison, WI. The position supervises around five staff, and supports the research programs of 10 Principal Investigators, an NSF-funded Long-Term Ecological Research site, and a dynamic group of 25-30 graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic about working at the interface between science and operations; can lead and work effectively in teams; understands the challenges and opportunities of science; and has experience supporting a diverse and inclusive research program involving individuals spanning a range of career stages.
The successful candidate will join a highly interactive, supportive community at the Center for Limnology that encourages diverse perspectives and supports employee well-being.
