Provide educators with support to assist districts in the development and implementation of effective instructional methods, assessments and/or activities related to improving mathematics academic performance. Collaborate with other initiatives and interagency work of the RPDCs and DESE to provide support to identified districts and schools. Bachelor’s degree in the following field(s) of study: education, math education, education administration or appropriate related field or evidence of equivalency.
(Master’s degree preferred)
Master’s degree in the following field(s) of study: mathematics, educational leadership, technology, curriculum/assessment or related field.
Formal and informal group presentation skills, facilitation skills, educational coaching skills required. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Desktop Publishing, Other - Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; web browsers, social media, Google, Zoom Experience
Seven (7) years successful mathematics classroom teaching, school improvement planning, administration, or related experience in public education in Missouri. Specialization and/or emphasis in the math content area is required. Experience with group facilitation and presentation.
Experience with mathematics instruction, intervention, and assessment practices. Seven years of classroom experience and elementary or secondary content-specific teaching certificate are required.

Valid teaching certificate and/or administrative certificate. Understanding of significant research in the field of mathematics education and the ability to apply the findings to the improvement of instruction.

Ability to express complex ideas to a variety of audiences clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Ability to manage diverse activities and meet established deadlines.
Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effective working relationships with department staff and local school district personnel.
