PCC is looking for a Programmer Analyst who will provide middleware, application and server administrative support for our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) team. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining web servers and applications, performing critical tasks for application upgrades, troubleshooting, diagnosis and resolution of issues impacting the ERP system and related processes.

The position will maintain web servers, install/upgrade applications in architectures including Linux, Solaris, Tomcat and Weblogic, and participate in system-wide projects that support the ERP system and team.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience installing, upgrading and maintaining web applications
  • Experience supporting middle tier integration applications and tools
  • Functional knowledge of administering server architectures in load balanced environments
  • Experience with server and application virtualization technologies
  • Experience developing scripts and application code in a variety of languages and frameworks


Minimum Qualifications

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

  • Associate degree in computer related discipline (relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis).
  • Two years experience in complex systems design, programming and systems software and support.
  • Knowledge of: An in-depth variety of programming languages; a spectrum of equipment and technologies in use (oldest to newest).
  • Ability to: Perform feasibility studies and programming analysis; determine alternate program design approaches and facilitate most effective solution to meet user needs; work independently and make necessary decisions throughout the systems process within department guidelines; perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively; communicate technical and complex information both orally and in writing; provide effective training/coaching to others.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Tomcat, Apache and/or Weblogic
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience with Solaris Unix


Position Grade 25 Starting Salary Expectations The first two steps of the range are: $61,364 to $63,202 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity. Position Grade Salary Range $61364 to $98472 Annual Salary FTE 1 PCC Benefits

Paid Leave: (Pro-rated by FTE for Part-Time Employees)

  • Starts at 8 hours of vacation leave per month (additional vacation hours with years of service)
  • 8 hours of sick leave per month
  • 24 hours of additional personal leave days per year
  • 11 Paid holidays

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work environment includes typical computer related noise levels and paper and equipment generated dust.
  • Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Learned physical skill is required for keyboarding and use of peripheral equipment.
  • Moderate lifting occasionally occurs.
