Job Summary
Serve as a lead application administrator for IT Services Support Automation department. A highly technical role, this position would provide technical guidance regarding Cloud applications systems, device management systems, and line-of-business applications. This position would help ensure consistent operation, availability and security of University applications, cloud services and assets.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Lead MDM solution setup, maintenance, and administration
  • Documenting the solutions, processes, and procedures used in setup, maintenance, and administration of the device management solutions
  • Assist in change management and compatibility testing of Windows and MAC Operating Systems
  • Administer software package delivery and deployment
  • Evaluate current IT policies, procedures and practices and recommends changes
  • Assist Cloud Services team with administration, management, and innovation within the Google Workspace environment
  • Leads efforts to develop and implement processes for application monitoring
  • Develop and execute business application testing, installs, rollouts and upgrades
  • Understand the business applications that are considered core organization-wide applications
  • Analyze business systems to identify inefficiencies and problems and recommend solutions
  • Assist Device Management team with administration of System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune systems
  • Collaborate with Business Analyst and software vendors to troubleshoot configuration and installation
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of application systems, configuration, and procedures
  • Work with the Director on the overall strategy for the application systems design, implementation, and support.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to implement and upgrade to new technology solutions
  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process
  • Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
  • Create and administer advertisements, programs and collections in device management systems
  • Troubleshoot failed device deployments and device management system health issues
  • Administer device management systems to keep the system running and healthy, including changes to the core components, backups, restores, software delivery, client heath, reporting, boundaries, and bandwidth allocation.
  • Collaborate with Google product managers and strategists, Google tech support, outsourced vendor teams to evaluate and recommend new Google Workspace features/ enhancements
  • Assist Device Management team with administration of JAMF Pro device management
  • Lead and facilitate enterprise rollout of custom solutions that integrate Google Workspace functionality and productivity
  • Partner with IT Security & Audit to enforce strict cross platform security and audit controls
  • Research and test emerging technologies to utilize when applicable to address campus IT needs
  • Develop custom scripts to aid in the automation of tasks
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Manage the administration of device management through the JAMF Pro
  • Provide training to support team on the use of SCCM, Intune, JAMF
  • Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current system
  • Manage/develop scripts to automate repeatable IT maintenance tasks
  • Responsible for managing software inventories
  • Implementation, administration and troubleshoot Windows and Mac operating systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Three (3) years of work-related experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Device Management Administration

Proposed Salary
$56,300 - $65,688

  • Strong expertise in administration and configuration of enterprise mobility management
  • Knowledge of Intune app protection policies independent of mobile-device management (MDM) solution
  • Knowledge of Azure AD, including conditional access to control access, features, and functionality

SKILLS

  • Experience managing Azure Active Directory and O365 administration
  • Experience with managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to manage large numbers of Windows-based computers
  • Experience administering Google Workspace environment
  • JAMF Pro MDM administrator experienced in maintaining, packaging, updating, and deploying software for macOS with a strong knowledge of MDM protocol, configuration profiles, and policy management
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune device enrollment and monitoring of devices
  • Experience with managing Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), formerly System
