Job Summary: The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center (REOC), part of SUNY Brockport, State University of New York is accepting applications for an Admissions Staff Assistant. The Admissions Staff Assistant assists students with applying to and registering for REOC programs, processes application documents, attends recruitment events, and provides back up support for the front desk and Admissions Advisors.

Major Responsibilities
  • Assist students with questions and helps guide them through the registration and application process.
  • Create application status reports and follows up with applicants regarding the status of their application, while insuring no missing documents.
  • Process and notify applicants of TABE and CREST test results.
  • Mail student registration letters.
  • Input and complete on-going admissions related data for enrollment reporting.
  • Provide backup coverage for the Admissions Front Desk. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse adults.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to details and writing skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in Admissions or related field.
  • Input and completion of on-going admissions related data for enrollment reporting.
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment.
  • Ability to listen actively to the needs of prospective students and respond appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish.
    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, occasional evenings Salary and Benefits: Minimum Salary $44,374, May be benefits eligible; more information at Careers@Brockport.
