The mission of the Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse is to support and conduct research that advances our understanding of child sexual abuse, educates policymakers and the public and cultivates partnerships with organizations to develop proven strategies that prevent child sexual abuse. We are seeking aSenior Research Program Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational, logistical, and administrative tasks for various research studies led by the Moore Center. The Sr. Research Program Coordinator will work under the direction of the program manager to carry out research protocols including obtaining informed consent, conducting data collection, and summarizing results. This individual will prepare standard operating procedures, oversee recruitment and manage data collection under the direction of the primary investigator. The Sr. Research Program Coordinator will have an opportunity to learn and participate in multiple aspects of public health research including study design, institutional review board review, data collection and analyses, intervention implementation, and dissemination of study findings. This position will require exceptional attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and maintain good working knowledge of all assigned study protocol requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Center and external community or professional collaborators to recruit study participants and manage data collection.
  • Work with project manager to develop study standard operating procedures and budgets.
  • Oversee the day-to-day logistical and operational tasks for research studies.
  • Recruit study participants and verify eligibility for various studies.
  • Conduct data collection through qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Schedule follow-up data collection when applicable.
  • Maintain paper and computerized research files in accordance with research protocols.
  • Conduct data entry and assist study team in coding, cleaning, and managing data.
  • Prepare reports on study progress and data collection.
  • Assist with IRB and grant submissions and reports.
  • Conduct targeted literature reviews.
  • Format abstracts/manuscripts/grants for submission.
  • Review, edit and finalize documents for distribution to various stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support to the Center including maintenance of documents and calendars, ordering supplies, scheduling meetings, and other administrative duties.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals within and external to JHU.
  • Assist with event planning and special projects as needed.

This position will require some non-traditional work hours and personal reliable transportation to and from study sites.

Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):

    Bachelor's degree inarelated field. 3 years relatedexperience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

Preferred Qualifications:

    Master’s degree inpublic health, psychology,or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of research practices and principles preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting project deadlines.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple and competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated self-management and ability to work well with others, with minimal supervision.
  • Experience conducting research on sensitive topics with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work well with other professionals and be comfortable being part of a diverse professional team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with common data collection and analytic software and ability to learn new programs as needed.

Starting Salary Range: $39,310 - $54,060 annually (commensurate with experience)
