The Division of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon to join the present full-time faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor WOT (without tenure by reason of funding). This position will have an annual service period of 12 months (July 1 – June 30) with an anticipated start date in Fall 2021. The salary and rank is commensurate with applicant’s training, qualifications, and experience. This position would include the broad spectrum of plastic surgery, including teaching residents and medical students, and will be primarily based at the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) – Montlake Campus, with UWMC - Northwest Campus as a secondary site of practice. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.  

 

Prospective candidates must have an MD (or foreign equivalent) and should be certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (or foreign equivalent). An established academic practice and prior expertise with microsurgical oncologic reconstruction including autologous breast reconstruction is required.

 

In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
