Job Summary :

The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is accepting applicants for an HR Analyst in the Office of Human Resources. This position serves as the Human Resources Business Analyst, responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating data for a host of subject areas within Human Resources. Provides a broad range of reporting, analysis, and metrics for campus. Supports initiatives through research, development, training, and implementation of HR projects and programs. Maintaining the integrity and reliability of the HR related systems, ensuring applications meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of The Citadel.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Manage process improvements and business/analytic model development for the Human Resources department
  • Manage the preparation of analyses and presents recommendations related to workforce planning, compensation assignments, benefits, employee demographics and turnover trends automation, process improvement, and cost and impact analysis for initiatives impacting the workforce
  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance
  • Liaise with technical teams (ITS) for solution development and technology, toolsets, and data needs
  • Consult with the functional leaders to define data needs and requirements to develop customized reports to support their areas
  • Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership
  • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics
  • Compiles and analyzes data for State Human Affairs Commission, SCEIS, Affordable Care Act, and other associated governmental request.
  • Design and generate reports, tables, and graphs using a variety of tools (query and database)
  • Define system requirements, conduct gap analysis and identify alternative solutions that meet HR objectives and deadlines
  • Assist with the college’s salary compensation and classification program through determining and evaluating benchmark positions, conducting equity studies, participating in and analyzing data from various job surveys
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
  • Manages The Citadel's EPMS program, including the processing, recording and reporting of EPMS-related activities to ensure compliance with State regulations.
  • Responsible for updating Human Resources intranet site
  • Ensure compliance with college policies, procedures, and requirements and applicable legal regulations
  • Assist with other HR related matters


Minimum Qualifications :

  • BA bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, or related field and experience in business process management
  • Ability to demonstrate progressive experience in Human Resources OR direct experience collaborating with Human Resources
  • Strong knowledge of HR functional analysis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, proficient in Excel and reporting and visualization tools
  • Experience with proven detail-oriented work style in collaboration with effective written and verbal communication skills


Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous HigherEd experience
  • Ellucian systems and/or IBM Cognos experience
