The Office of Admissions at Old Dominion University is seeking candidates for the Assistant Director (full-time, 12 month) position. This position will support the implementation of the undergraduate admissions recruitment plan to identify, recruit, admit and enroll future students to the institution. This position will also provide Assistant Director-level planning, implementation, and management of special Office of Admissions events to directly impact enrollment goals.

Required Education: Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree with equivalent related experience to a master’s degree.

Required Qualifications: Valid driver’s license. Some event management experience. Extensive experience with Microsoft packages. Strong leadership skills encompassing the ability to remain flexible, diplomatic and able to work independently or in a team environment. Public speaking and strong communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to effectively project manage multiple ongoing tasks with strong analytical abilities meeting deadlines. Maintain a high level of self-motivation while providing top-level customer service.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education and/or admissions. Ability to speak a foreign language.
