Marketing and Development Coordinator - UCO College of Business

Schedule: Full Time position, M-F 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some nights/weekends as needed for events.

Position Overview:

Develop new and innovative ways to highlight and promote the mission, vision and brand of the UCO College of Business through digital and print publications, social media, website, advertisements, activities and events. Coordinate the design and production of specific marketing and promotional materials, publications and activities for the College. Draft copy and designs for review. Work with cross-functional teams to design and execute projects and events. Use technology to design, produce and distribute content. Use data to evaluate and report on the effectiveness of marketing tactics. Manage and oversee the scholarship selection process including publicizing scholarships and awards in the UCO College of Business.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:

Design, produce, circulate and update printed and electronic communication materials such as brochures, invitations, internal/external newsletters, annual report, social media messages, postcards, posters, information sheets, email blasts, digital signage, press releases, blogs, logos, public disclosures for accreditation, promotional materials, etc .

Communicate and partner with key stakeholders to coordinate, plan, organize and execute events initiated by the College of Business deans, department chairpersons and directors.

Coordinate and oversee the UCO College of Business scholarship process.

Manage social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. in terms of promoting College of Business personnel, students, news and events.

Maintain, plan and report on marketing and promotions budget and expenses.

Performs other related duties as assigned. Report to the College of Business Director of Student Success & Retention.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

Requires a university degree in field plus 3+ years of relevant experience in the chosen field or 7+ years of equivalent work experience in marketing or communication relevant to this position.

Experience Preferred:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Canva and InDesign. Proficiency in Associated Press (AP) style of writing. Supervisory experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, human relations, public relations, initiative and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and interact professionally with all segments of the University and external community. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be detail-oriented.
