Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a Video Support Specialist to join the Video & Collaboration Services team in Academic Technology, a unit within UFIT.

Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida’s innovative and inspirational community.

The Video Support Specialist will provide technical support for faculty, staff, and students across UF that are using conferencing and streaming media services provided by University of Florida Information Technology (UFIT). This is accomplished by utilizing strong communication and training skills coupled with specialized technical experience, to handle incoming support requests. The Video Support Specialist will also set up and conduct audio and video production events.

Expected Salary:

$19.16 per hour, In addition, the University of Florida offers a very competitive benefits package. Minimum Requirements:

Associate’s degree; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience.

Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following preferred skills, expertise, and experience:

  • Experience with Zoom, Mediasite, Windows-based operating systems, servers and security, Active Directory
  • Knowledge of videoconferencing, streaming media, and associated infrastructure system
  • Awareness of current standards and trends in IT and emerging technology
  • Outstanding communicator and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills; and the ability to work collegially and interact effectively with a diverse constituency.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented approach and mindset.
