This position serves as a key member of the Director of Athletics
Senior Team with a specific focus on diversity and inclusion
initiatives and alumni engagement. Diversity and
Inclusion (40%)Reporting directly to the Director of
Athletics, this position will assume a leadership role in
overseeing diversity and inclusion programming and training for the
athletic department's student-athletes and staff. This position
will be charged with updating the department's Diversity and
Inclusion plan including ensuring best practices related to
searching, hiring, onboarding, and retention of staff and working
with staff and coaches on creating an inclusive culture and
building of community in the department. This position will
coordinate all athletics efforts and plans with the overall
University plan for diversity and inclusion. Additionally,
this individual will serve as the liaison to all campus student
organizations and international programs, as opportunities for
partnerships arise. Finally, the position will serve as a member of
all full-time athletic hiring committees to bring an additional
lens of inclusion to the hiring process. Alumni
Engagement and Advancement (40%)This position will serve
as a member of the Athletics Advancement Team under the direction
of the Director of Athletics and indirectly reporting to the
Associate Athletics Director for External Operations for this work.
This person is responsible for assisting with all operations within
Athletics Annual Giving with an emphasis on customer service to
donors, special events, and alumni giving. This person will
also serve as an ambassador for Bulldog Athletics on the phone and
in person during special events and other general fundraising
initiatives. Sport Supervision
(20%)This person will also be the program administrator
responsible for at least one varsity sport.
