About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Vice Chancellor of Engagement will provide supervision, direction and support to the Department of Residential Life and to Cultural and Spiritual Life Centers, which include the following departments: Center for Intercultural Engagement, the Center for Spirituality Dialogue and Service, the John D. O'Bryant African American Institute, the LatinX Student Cultural Center, the Asian American Center and the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Transgender, Questioning and Allied Resource Center (LGBTQA).

Responsibilities:
The Assistant Vice Chancellor of Engagement will partner with the Dean of Cultural and Spiritual Life to create a comprehensive program that reflects the mission of the University and the literacies and themes of the Division of Student Affairs. Additionally, The Assistant Vice Chancellor is responsible for strategic visioning of 6 Cultural Centers in creating academic alignment that provides educational and developmental programming, focuses on cultural agility, creates a sense of belonging, and curates opportunities for learning.

The Assistant Vice Chancellor, in partnership with the Senior Director of Residential Life is also responsible for supervision and strategic visioning for a large, fast-paced residential community. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will curate a residential and education curriculum that supports the mission of the University as well as creating communities that are rich spaces of learning and optimizes personal growth. The Assistant Vice Chancellor will also be responsible for overseeing the department's fiscal priorities and wellbeing, facility maintenance, program curriculum, among others.

Qualifications:
Master's degree, in Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education, Education Administration or Business Administration. The qualified candidate will possess a minimum of 7-10 years progressively responsible supervisory and managerial experience in Residence Life and/or related field. The position requires strategic thinking and planning skills; strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators and students at all levels in a complex and diverse environment. Position requires proficiency in the development and management of budgets. Position requires knowledge of facility management, sophisticated knowledge of student development, collaborative learning, residence hall programming, building learning communities, and staff development.
