About the Opportunity:
The Trade Operations staff service and maintain over 8 million square feet of academic, residential and administrative facilities. Position's primary responsibility is coordinating and assigning workorders to the 2nd shift multi discipline trade staff. The staff includes Plumbers, Mechanics, Electricians and HVAC technicians. The 2nd Shift Maintenance Foreperson shall assign & complete his / her trade specific assigned workorders during the 2nd shift. Coordinate the 2nd shift trade staff and oversee scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks pertaining to the 2nd shift trades. The 2nd shift Maintenance Foreperson will be the “link” between Facilities Customer Service Center and the 2nd shift trade staff. Prior to the start of the 2nd shift, communicate with each Trade Supervisor to establish priorities for the 2nd shift trade staff. Approve & document 2nd shift trades overtime. Maintain a fair and equitable overtime distribution among staff. Schedule daily meetings with the 2nd shift trade staff and issue assignments. Prioritize all workorders that are requested during the 2nd shift. Non-emergency workorders can be deferred to the day shift.

Qualifications:
A state of Massachusetts professional license in one of the following building trades - Journeyman Electrical, Plumbing, Refrigeration or Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 5+ years supervising a multi -discipline trade force. Must be a team-oriented self-starter with the demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have a detailed knowledge of complex building systems and MEP infrastructure. Must have a general knowledge of the operations and designs of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems and related BMS controls. Ability to prioritize and successfully manage multiple trade technicians concurrently. Excellent computer skills with the ability/desire to learn new software programs. Excellent organizational skills and ability to follow through on tasks from inception to closure. Ability to make operational improvements to systems. Must be team oriented, possess strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills; both written and verbal.

Additional Information:
Must be able to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs. and equipment in excess of 200 lbs. with others. Must be able to push and pull heavy loads as required. Must be able to stoop and bend for long periods of time; work on hands and knees and other awkward positions for extended periods; routinely walk to and from various buildings carrying tools, equipment and other essentials to the job site. Must be able to work alone and climb multiple sets of stairs, work off ladders, staging, lifts, etc. Must be able to work overtime, as needed. Valid MA Driver's License required.

This position is 40 hours a week; Monday through Friday, 3PM - 11:30PM.

The 2nd Shift Foreman position is considered Essential Personnel.

A satisfactory criminal background check is required for employment in this position.
