Position Summary
The Housing Information Technology Manager provides leadership, training, and support for technology, hardware, software and networking to University Housing staff, residents, and guests. This position applies technical expertise and leadership consistent with the mission and technical needs of University Housing, supports the division of Student Services and Enrollment Management (SSEM), and collaborates with other information technology units on campus. The position has overall responsibility for the ResNet Help Desk, asset management, and infrastructure planning.
The position is a system administrator for Kronos (Housing's timekeeping system) which ensures over 1,000 employees times are recorded and processed. The position spearheads new IT projects within Housing. The position has supervisory responsibilities for the ResNet Service Desk Coordinator and all student staff.
The position reports to the Assistant Director of Information Technology (IT) for University Housing and in their absence, provides leadership and oversight of the University Housing IT department including supervision of Housing IT staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years of experience administering desktops, applications,
and/or network systems including, but not limited to, Windows
administration, Active Directory administration, and file services
administration
- One year of supervisory experience in an information technology
role or two years directing the work of others in an information
technology role

safety information
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor's or advanced degree in management information
systems, computer science, or related field
- Experience in a help desk setting
- Experience in an information technology role in a higher
education setting
