JOB SUMMARY

The Department of Public Administration at California State University, San Bernardino invites applications from a diverse group of qualified applicants for a Full Time Lecturer to begin August 2021.

The Department of Public Administration seeks an energetic and innovative educator to join the team as a full time Lecturer beginning August 2021. Candidates must be qualified to teach NASPAA and AACSB accredited courses in both upper division undergraduate and Master's level public administration. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching (online and face to face) and practitioner experience.

TYPICAL ACTIVITIES

Full Time Lecturers focus on teaching. The teaching load for a Full Time Lecturer begins at a 5/5 load, but may be reduced through academic qualifications and other duties, including online and large class courses. Teaching responsibilities may include courses at either the San Bernardino or Palm Desert Campuses.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff and students across a wide range of disciplines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A terminal degree in Public Administration or a related field is required by time of appointment.

    • Evidence of exemplary graduate-level teaching and leadership experience at program level is preferred.
    • Professional experience in public administration.
    • Evidence of scholarly activity, publication, and innovation is valued.

    The person holding this position is considered a 'mandated reporter' under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a condition of employment.
