Job Summary:

The School of Science invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructors of Biology. The Department of Biology is searching for instructors to teach courses for non-science majors, Topics in Biology as well as one in Sex, Evolution and Behavior, and for science majors, General Biology I (which emphasizes cell biology), and Human Anatomy and Physiology. Opportunities to teach additional courses may become available. The successful candidate will join a department characterized by a strong sense of community in which students are the central focus and faculty who are both accessible and approachable.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications include an M.A. or M.S. in Biology or closely related field, strong interest in undergraduate education, a commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching, and interest in working collaboratively with others.

Essential Functions:

Opportunities are available to teach in one or more areas across several disciplines over time. Teaching opportunities include undergraduate courses that may be available in both on-ground and online environments. Availability to teach during daytime hours is desired.
